WAYS TO MANAGE CONSTIPATION

Here are five effective ways to prevent and treat constipation:

1 . Exercise Regularly
-Follow an exercise regimen which may include a combination of several activities such as weight bearing exercise, muscle strengthening exercises, running, walking, jogging and physical exercises.

-These exercises stimulate the bowel movements regularly and help to keep the body healthy.

Brisk walking and aerobic exercises has also been found to stimulate and aid the bowel movement.

-If you have an option of taking the elevator or the stairs, opt for stairs. This will keep you mobile during your work hours.

2 . Increase Dietary Fiber
-Correction of the dietary intake is the key to prevent constipation. It is recommended to take naturally available fibrous vegetables and fruits than to aid the diet with supplementary fiber.

-Increase the intake of fiber rich vegetables such as beans, bran cereals, brown rice, raw fruits and vegetables in your daily diet. It is recommended to have close to 20-35 grams of fiber daily.

-Make sure you add salads to your meals. Include sprouts, carrots, leafy vegetables and fruits in your salads.

-In case of consistent constipation, avoid intake of processed foods and beverages such as cheese, dairy products, meat and packaged foods

3 . Increase Fluid Intake
-Drink water (6-8 glasses) throughout the day. This will improve the bowel movement significantly.

Warm water during the daytime also helps in increasing the excretion of stools during constipation.

4 . Opt For Lifestyle Changes
– Changes in the lifestyle such as having a balanced diet, regular exercises and optimum sleep can significantly help constipation.

– Fix a regular time during the day for the bowel movement. It helps the body to follow a routine.

5 . Try Natural Remedies
-In case of chronic constipation, take herbal laxatives such as isabgol and triphala with warm water before going to sleep. They will improve bowel movement and aid the excretion process.

-Studies suggest that castor oil, due to its laxative properties, was found to relieve constipation significantly. Due to its instant effects, it is recommended that it is not consumed orally before going to bed. Instead it is advised to take it in the daytime.

-There are broadly two types of herbal stimulants (bulk forming stimulants and stimulant laxatives) for relieving constipation.

-Commonly used bulk forming laxatives include, fenugreek, flaxseeds and barley. Commonly used stimulant herbs include aloe and senna. However, these herbal laxatives are advised to be used in less potency. Therefore one must consult a doctor before opting for these remedies.

In case your symptoms persist, you can try some over the counter laxatives. However make sure your body does not become dependent on these options. Consistent use of laxatives can deplete the food off essential nutrients.

In severe cases, consult a doctor who can further evaluate the problem and suggest medications. Stay Healthy, Stay Happy!

Masturbation benefits both males and females

10 Amazing Benefits of Masturbation for Men

1

Prevents Premature Ejaculation

Sex therapists are of the view that you can control premature ejaculation by masturbating about a couple of hours before sex. This will improve your timing and keep you from ejaculating too quickly.

2

Prevents Prostate Cancer

An Australian study published in 2003 found that men would reduce their risk to develop prostate cancer if they'd ejaculate five times or more during a week. Masturbation will keep disease-causing toxins from building up in your urinary tract and prevent prostate cancer.

3

Prevents Erectile Dysfunction

It's obvious that you will lose muscle tone with age, but masturbation keeps you in shape down there and prevents erectile dysfunction as well. You will, however, need to masturbate about 3-5 times a week for great results.

4

Improves Sperm Motility

Some studies back the claim that masturbation improves the quality and motility of sperm. If you masturbate before intercourse, you will release any residual sperms in your semen transporting tubules. This allows for the production of new 'better' sperms, which makes it easier for couples to conceive.

5

Improves Your Timing

One of many benefits of masturbation is that it helps you last longer during an intercourse. This gives you a chance to get familiar with how you feel when you get close to ejaculation. You will learn to have better control over your body as well, which in turn will improve your timing. If you take five minute to ejaculate while masturbating, you can stretch it out a bit the next time you masturbate. Your masturbation session will help practice how to handle a real intercourse.

6

Reduces Nasal Congestion

A new study shows that the swelling in the vessels of your nose reduces during masturbation and sex. It suggests that masturbation will help improve your symptoms of the common cold, allergic rhinitis, hay fever, and other related ailments.

7

Manages Depression

Since masturbation releases oxytocin, which are known as your feel-good hormones, you can use this activity to manage your stress and improve your mood.

8

Improves Immunity

Ejaculation increases the levels of cortisol, the hormone responsible for making you feel stressed. The experts believe that this hormone is good in small doses because it helps maintain your immunity. It means masturbation can play a role in strengthening your immune system.

9

Boosts Your Mood

Among many other things, masturbating will excrete neurochemicals such as oxytocin and dopamine that boost your satisfaction and lift your spirits. Reaching an orgasm through masturbation is one of the biggest non-drug blasts of dopamine.

10

Prevents STDS and Unwanted Pregnancy

Masturbation is the safest way to have sexual satisfaction without having to worry about STDs or unwanted pregnancy. Mutual masturbation may, however, have slightly different results.

10 Amazing Benefits of Female Masturbation

Masturbation is not just for men, there are many interesting masturbating health benefits for women as well. Here's more about benefits of masturbation for women.

1

Improves Strength

Female masturbation works more like exercise and an orgasm is an amazing workout for your pelvic floor. When you reach close to orgasm, your clitoris engorges due to increase blood flow. This causes your heart rate and respiration to increase and create similar effect that exercise creates in different situations.

2

Improves Sleep Quality

Masturbation will help put up a fight against insomnia through hormonal release. Your body releases dopamine, the feel-good hormone, in anticipation of an orgasm. After climax, your body releases a calming hormone called oxytocin. The combination of both will help you have good sleep.

3

Improves Cervical Health

Regular masturbation will go a long way in maintaining cervical health in women. Your cervix opens when you reach orgasm and this allows for the release of cervical mucus that also contains friendly bacteria. This fluid then moves to your vagina and helps flush out any unfriendly organisms to prevent infections.

4

Improves General Health

Regular female masturbation is good for your cardiovascular health. It also reduces the risk of developing type-2 diabetes.

5

Strengthens Relationships

Even if you don't have a great sex life, masturbation will provide you a chance to maintain that relationship with your partner. This will help supplement your sexual satisfaction and may even help open up a dialogue in a relationship. Letting your partner see how you masturbate may also help improve them while having a vaginal intercourse.

6

Relieves Cramps

There is a way to relieve cramps you experience during your period. Masturbate! Regular masturbation will save you from experiencing cramps – or at least will reduce their severity.

7

Helps Cure a Urinary Tract Infection

A UTI can be extremely painful and irritating, and sometimes, it's not enough to drink cranberry juice to resolve the issue. You can take steps to avoid getting any UTIs in the first place, and regular masturbation is something you can trust.

8

Improves Sex

Through masturbation, you get to know your body better and guide your partner during an actual vaginal intercourse.

9

Relieves Menopause Symptoms

Masturbation can benefit you even if you are going through menopause – it improves blood flow to your lady parts and keep your sexual desire alive.

10

No STDs or Pregnancy

The biggest benefit of masturbation is that you don't have to worry about getting pregnant as a result of an adventurous sex encounter with someone. You can please yourself through masturbation without getting pregnant or getting any sexually transmitted diseases.

Ayurvedic Treatment of Varicosis (Varicose Veins)

Varicosis, or varicose veins, caused by weakened valves in the veins of the legs, refers to a condition in which the veins of the legs become varicose, i.e. they appear swollen and bulging and can be discerned beneath the surface of the skin. Varicose veins may be dark in color or may retain their original color, ranging from a light purplish-red to an almost navy blue. They are nearly always painful. In case of prolonged varicose veins, they could be accompanied by skin peeling and skin ulcers may be seen to develop.

Varicose veins are caused due to excessive pressure brought to bear on the legs or the abdomen. These are brought on by advancing age, obesity, pregnancy, hormonal changes and a host of other factors, which may include genetic or epigenetic factors as varicose veins often run in families. Standing for long periods of time increases pressure on leg veins and promote varicose veins.

Some deficiencies in the diet may cause the loss of elasticity of the veins, which may make them varicose. Standing for protracted periods, engaging in physical activity that puts more strain on the legs, wearing constrictive clothing and total lack of exercise can gives rise to varicosis

Symptoms include veins that look dark blue or purplish red, swollen, and twisted under the skin. Some people do not have any symptoms. Mild symptoms may include: heaviness, burning, aching, tiredness, or pain in the legs. Symptoms may be worse after long periods of immobility and include swelling of the feet and ankles and itching directly over the vein. More serious symptoms include leg swelling, calf pain and skin changes, such as color changes, dry, thinned skin, inflammation, scaling and open ulcerous sores, or bleeding after a minor injury.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, Varicosis is a condition betokening a vitiation of vata dosha (particularly vyana vayu) in the rasa and rakta dhatus and extending into their upadhatus. Consequently, treatment efforts are directed toward pacifying vata dosha and may include dietary, medicinal, yogic and other measures.

Dietary measures: In general and with respect to the client's constitution, a vata-pacifying diet regimen is usually implemented. Such a diet should include whole food grains instead of processed or polished ones. Whole grains should be strongly emphasized, with wheat and millet seen as especially beneficial. Fresh fruits are very much needed, since vitamin C deficiency is a prime contributing factor to the severity of varicose veins. Thus, Amalaki and other citrus fruits high in this vitamin should be had in good amounts. The diet should be protein-rich and should include an egg daily and a glassful of milk, along with legumes and other protein-rich foods (although red meat should be avoided). To aid in the digestion of a high protein intake, garlic, onion, ginger and pineapple should also be consumed daily (but other pungent tasting foods and condiments should be avoided). For non-vegetarians, fish should be included in the daily diet. A generous amount of water should be consumed daily, with a minimum of 3 liters of water daily recommended for a 150 lbs. Adult male with a moderate activity level.

Yoga asanas & physical exercise: Useful postures include Virasana (hero pose), Sarvangasana (shoulder stand, should be practiced for 10 minutes daily if possible), Kapotsana (pigeon pose – alternative lying posture), Bhujangasana; (cobra pose), Shavasana (corpse pose), Halasana (plough pose), and Pawanmuktasana (wind-relieving pose).
One particularly beneficial maneuver is to have the client elevate their legs while lying on their back. This should be done 4 or more times daily for 20 minutes. Exercise the feet by pointing and flexing (forward and backward). I like to suggest clients move their feet as if they were using them to sign their name (this will provide a requisite balance of directions and movements).

Simple exercises like walking, swimming, cycling and stretching the legs while sitting on a chair also help. Avoid excessively vigorous exercise and after any exercise take a brief period of relaxation. Avoid bathing in overly-cold water.

Herbal medication: Useful Ayurvedic herbs include Amalaki, Arjuna, Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Guduchi, Guggul and Shatavari – and most especially, notwithstanding the fact that it not of Ayurvedic provenance, HCSE (Horse Chestnut Seed Extract) taken orally as well as a topical application.

Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri): The indigenous Indian herb, Brahmi is perhaps the best Ayurvedic treatment for varicose veins. It provides the necessary nutrients required for the proper toning of the veins and makes them less tortuous. Ayurveda prescribes the Brahmi as the drug of choice for the treatment of varicose veins. Brahmi is used for four continuous weeks to get permanent benefits. (Dosage: 2 to 6 g. daily). Brahmi (Bacopa monniera) is taken in conjunction with some mineral supplement like Jasad bhasma. This bhasma has three benefits – (i) it is a rich source of the mineral zinc, (ii) it helps in healing and blood clotting through the formation of collagen and (iii) it helps in the concentration of vitamin E in the blood. Other popularly prescribed medicines taken with Brahmi are Chandraprabha vati, Nagarjunabhra rasa and Punarnavadi guggulu, among others.

Garlic (Allium sativum): Among its many advantageous properties, garlic also has effects in the treatment of varicose veins. Garlic can break down the protein content in the body and distribute it evenly. This increases the protein supply to the lower limb region. (Dosage: 6 to 15 g. daily)

Ginger (Zingiber officinale): Like garlic, ginger too breaks down and distributes the protein in the body. (Dosage: 1.5 to 5 g. daily)

Onion (Allium cepa): Onion helps in the proper assimilation and distribution of protein in the human body. It gives inner strength. Chomping on one onion everyday can help to solve the problem of varicose veins permanently.

Horse Chestnut Seed extract (HCSE, Aesculus hippocastanum): Horse chestnut extract is in widespread use in Europe in the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) and varicose veins. It has been repeatedly shown to diminish leg pain and improve circulatory function in individuals with this problem. It is as effective as support stockings are at removing fluid from the lower legs and is a synergistic cardiovascular support nutrient that enhances your circulatory structure and function (Dosage is standardized to 50-100 mg twice daily)

Available in India is a proprietary multiherbal formulation marketed under the name Pilex and manufactured by Himalaya Pharmaceuticals, but its availability outside of India is limited.

There are some Ayurvedic oils available for local application to seek temporary relief. These are Prasarini taila and Chandanabala taila. Mahanarayan oil (whose main plant ingredient is Shatavari) is aid to be particularly useful, as is both Brahmi oil and Carrot Seed essential oil (mixed usually with some carrier oil). Sahacharadi oil is also said to be of great benefit.

Great care must be taken never to massage any oil directly on the varicose veins, as it would increase pressure on them. A simple application is sufficient, without any pressure being exerted. For external treatment, apply oils very gently over the affected veins. Massage the affected leg – avoiding the vein - against the direction of the hair.

In addition to all of the foregoing, any measures that can be taken in terms of one's lifestyle to generally pacify vata dosha – e.g., avoiding stress, ensuring a sound night's sleep, and adhering to a regular daily schedule – will all assist the sufferer in overcoming varicosis.

Cleopatra Stratan lyrics in English

V1:

The little coat it's in the hatstand
outside isn't sun
nothing it's good since
I've been thinking at Ghita
But Ghita isn't in the town
I've concerned
I'm sorry he's gone
he's abroad
hard, it's very hard
I want but I don't know what I want
I know that you like me too
Tell me Ghita what are you doing
Come or go
tell me yes or no
but Please, but make me nervous
Ghita, what;s with your life ?

Ghita, I wait you tonight at the door
near that door at the school
come, but come in other way like you usually come
without something
who waits like me
one entire night only for you
Ghita, show me a girl
who might love you as I do

Ghita, I wait you tonight at the door
near that door at the school
come, but come in other way like you usually come
without something
who waits like me
one entire night only for you
Ghita, show me a girl
who might love you as I do

Ghita, I wait you tonight at the door
near that door at the school
come, but come in other way like you usually come
without something
who waits like me
one entire night only for you
Ghita, show me a girl
who might love you as I do

V2:
the coat stays on the hook
there's no sun outside
nothing is good since
i think of ghita
but ghita isn't in the village
i checked
it seems to me that he's gone
over the border

hard, it's so hard for me
I want, but I don't know what I want
I know that you like me, too
tell me ghita, why are you quiet?
either come or go
or tell me yes or no
I ask you to not annoy me
ghita, what's with your life?

ghita, i wait for you this evening at the gate
at the gate near the school
come, but don't come as you come
like usual, with empty hands
who waits for you like me
an entire evening only for you
ghita, show me a girl that
that loves you as much as I do

v3:

The little coat is hanging on a nail,
There is no sun outside,
Nothing has been good since
I´ve been thinking of Ghita.
But Ghita isn´t in the village
I have enquired.
It seems he´s gone
Abroad.

It is hard, it´s very hard for me,
I want, but I don´t know what.
I know you like me too.
Tell me, Ghita, why are you silent?
Come or go,
Say either yes or no.
Please, don´t irritate me,
Ghita, what´s going on with your life?

Ghita, I am waiting for you at the gate tonight,
By the school gate,
Come, but don´t come as you usually do
Empty-handed.
Who else will wait for you like I do,
The whole night, only waiting for you.
Ghita, show me a girl
Who loves you the way I do.
v4:

The coat is inside out,
There is no sun above
Nothing is going good
Since I think of Ghita.
But Ghita's not in town
I asked why he's not around
It seems to me he's gone
He's gone abroad

Hard, I think it's very hard
Want, I don't know what I want
I know that you like me too
Ghita, what is up with you?
Young, come on in or go
Young, tell me yes or no
Ghita, please don´t anger me
Tell me how your life will be

Ghita,
Tonight I'm waiting at the wicket
Me at the station I bought a ticket
Come to,
But don't come as you did before
As usually with empty hands...
Who else
Will wait and sing for you as I do
Entire evening just getting there
Ghita,
Show me a girl who's found of you
That loves you more as much as I do

Ghita,
Tonight I'm waiting at the wicket
Me at the station I bought a ticket
Come to,
But don't come as you did before
As usually with empty hands...
Who else
Will wait and sing for you as I do
Entire evening just getting there
Ghita,
Show me a girl who's found of you
That loves you more as much as I do

Ghita,
Tonight I'm waiting at the wicket
Me at the station I bought a ticket
Come to,
But don't come as you did before
As usually with empty hands...
Who else
Will wait and sing for you as I do
Entire evening just getting there
Ghita,
Show me a girl who's found of you
That loves you more as much as I do

The Fool

You feel discontent or uneasy and feel a need for a change in your life, a new direction, perhaps even an adventure. You might not know where you want to go, just that you don't want to stay where you are.

It's a time for optimism and major decisions - unexpected influences could have a powerful effect on your decision-making. Ask yourself, 'is what I desire really the right thing for me'?

The Chariot

Card 2:  What you want most right now »

The Chariot

The cards suggest that what you most want at this time is success, to win and to never give up the fight.

You are successful and assertive in most things, or if you haven't quite got the success you want, you will get it.

This is a time of movement and change - expect a journey relating to work, or if you really want that car you've been dreaming about, go get it!

The High Priestess

Card 3:   Your fears »

The High Priestess

You are feeling uneasy and insecure, something in your gut is saying "be careful, all is not as it seems" - something just doesn't feel right. Delay any decisions or actions until you have answered your concerns.

If you are male this card could signify a significant woman in your life being a bad influence right now.

The Empress

Card 4:   What is going for you »

The Empress

The harvest is here; you are entering a cycle of abundance, happiness and joy.

Creative energy is high so if you are considering starting a family, a new job or artistic endeavour this is a favourable time.

Relax and enjoy.

The Sun

Card 5:   What is going against you »

The Sun

You may experience a few delays on your quest for success and achievement but don't worry, you'll get there in a blaze of glory.

Success may go to your head a little, so a bit of modesty wouldn't go amiss. Other than a few minor delays, look forward to a period of joy and happiness.

If you are experiencing problems with conceiving a baby, The Sun often heralds good news around children and a much wanted pregnancy or birth of a longed-for baby.

Judgement

Card 6:  The likely outcome »

Judgement

A time for taking stock, an end to an era or phase of your life and brand new opportunities appearing.

An opportunity will present itself that must not be ignored and it could have far-reaching implications, changing your life for the better.

You will enjoy success and enjoyment for past efforts, events will pick up a pace and the outcome will be quicker than expected.

Foods That Help Prevent Constipation

Discover gut-healthy foods that help prevent and fight constipation and promote regularity! Below, we have listed some of the very best foods that for preventing constipation.

#1:  Pears

Eating pears, as part of a healthy and balanced diet, may help combat constipation as these delicious fruits, once referred to as the "gift of the gods", contain a fair amount of fiber. But the fiber pears boast is hardly their only bowel movement stimulating feature: these juicy, sweet fruits are also a great natural source of sorbitol. Sorbitol is a known laxative which works by drawing water into the large intestine. When buying pears, it is wise to opt for organically grown fruit whenever possible; conventionally grown pears often contain high amounts of pesticides and other chemicals.

#2:  Prunes

Prunes are a good source of dietary fiber which is the part of fruits and vegetables that the enzymes in your body cannot digest and that is therefore not absorbed into the bloodstream. As a result, fiber remains in the colon where it absorbs water and softens the stool, thereby preventing constipation. In addition to fiber, prunes contain mild colonic stimulants, which exert further beneficial effects on the bowels. (Note: If you're interested in more general information about the effects of prunes on human health, check out the page Health Benefits of Prunes.)

water
Water plays a crucial role in preventing constipation.

#3:  Water

Although not a food, water is included in this list because of its crucial role in preventing constipation. Without an adequate intake of water, a high-fiber diet will not be able to stimulate the bowels and improve waste elimination. In fact, an insufficient intake of water combined with a high-fiber diet can have the opposite effect and precipitate constipation. Most experts recommend drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, but if your diet is very high in fiber your body may require even more water. Also hot weather and physical activity increase the body's requirement for water.

#4:  Figs

Figs are an old standby remedy for constipation. To fully benefit from their laxative effect, eat them with their skin as most of their fiber is in the skin. When buying figs, look for fruits that are plump and soft, but not mushy. They should also be free of bruises, have a deep color, and smell fresh and mildly sweet. Figs are one of the most perishable fruits and therefore it is advisable to buy them only a day or two before you plan to eat them. Dried figs, which have a shelf life of over a year if stored appropriately, are also an excellent remedy for constipation.

beets
Blueberries are an excellent wrinkle-fighter.

#5:  Beets

Munching on red beets is a great way to prevent and treat constipation. Beets are high in fiber that helps keep waste materials moving through the intestines at a healthy pace. Also the green leafy tops of beets are high in fiber and can be cooked like spinach. In addition to supporting healthy bowel movement, beets contain some extraordinary properties that make them a super food for the colon. Several studies have shown that betacyanin, a phytochemical compound responsible for beets' intense purple color, is highly effective at fighting cancer, particularly colon cancer. To maximize beets' cancer-fighting properties, cook them only lightly. Research suggests their anti-cancer activity is reduced by heat.

#6:  Papaya

Originally from Central America, the papaya plant is today cultivated in most tropical countries. Termed as the "fruit of the angels" by Christopher Columbus, papaya is a true nutritional powerhouse. It is also a great food to add to your diet if you suffer from digestive complaints, in particular constipation. Papaya is one of the best fruit sources of vitamin C which helps soften the stool (papaya contains even more vitamin C than oranges). But vitamin C is hardly the only feature that makes papaya effective at promoting digestive health. Papaya contains papain, a protein-digesting enzyme, as well as a number of other active compounds that have been shown to ease constipation. Papain is more concentrated in green unripe papaya than in ripe papaya. Green papaya, which is often more readily available in Asian food stores, makes a nice addition to salads.

#7:  Spinach

Spinach
Spinach can help maintain the health of your intestines.

Popeye was right about one thing: spinach is good for you! Spinach is an excellent health food and an important vegetable for anyone suffering from constipation. It is considered one of the best vegetables for the entire digestive tract, and it is thought to be highly effective at cleansing and regenerating the intestinal tract. One of the gut health promoting compounds contained in spinach is magnesium which appears to be necessary for proper bowel movement. Mild deficiencies of magnesium are common in countries where consumption of processed and refined foods is common, as processing can remove significant quantities of magnesium from foods. Also intensive farming can reduce magnesium content of plant foods by depleting the soil of this important mineral.

#8:  Okra

Don't be put off by okra's somewhat slimy texture — this extraordinary plant native to West Africa is an amazing functional food for maintaining a healthy gut. The okra fiber absorbs water and adds bulk to the stool, which causes it to move through the intestines faster, helping to prevent constipation. Okra's mucilage lubrificates and soothes the intestinal tract, further facilitating painless elimination of waste. When buying okra, look for fresh, firm, bright green pods that are no longer than 4 inches. To prepare okra, cut off both ends of the pods, wash them in cold water, and cook in a saucepan or a steamer. To retain most of okra's healthful nutrients and enzymes, it should be cooked as little as possible. Thin slices of raw okra added to a bowl of salad greens also make a healthy and delicious dish.

#9:  Flaxseeds

These little seeds with a pleasant nutty flavor are highly effective at easing constipation and bloating. One study found that healthy adults who incorporated flaxseed into their diet experienced an increase of about 30% in bowel movements after the four-week trial period. This finding is supported by another study with patients who suffered from irritable bowel syndrome (characterized by constipation): after a three-month period, those patients who had ingested flaxseed experienced a significant reduction in constipation, bloating, and pain. To reap most of flaxseeds' benefits, grind them before adding them to your food (electric coffee grinders are great for grinding flaxseeds).

#10:  Rosehips

In traditional folk medicine, rosehips have been used as an anti-constipation food due to their mild laxative effects. Rosehips, which have a tangy taste similar to cranberries, can be eaten fresh or used in jams and pies. In some countries, like Sweden, they are also used in soups and stews. Keep in mind, though, that before you can consume rosehips the outer fleshy part of each orb must be removed because of the fine hairs they contain.

oatmeal
Oatmeal is rich in soluble fiber.

#11:  Oatmeal

Eating a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast is a great way to start a day off right — and prevent constipation. Oats are highly nutritious and an excellent source of soluble fiber. Soluble fiber forms a gel when mixed with water while insoluble fiber, which does not dissolve in water, passes the intestines largely intact. Soluble fiber is known to prevent constipation due to its ability to make stool bulkier and softer. Before consuming oats, it is advisable to soak them for several hours. Untreated oats, like other grains, contain phytic acid which can hinder the absorption of magnesium (an important constipation fighting mineral) in the intestines.

#12:  Celery

Celery, which is a mild natural laxative, has a long history as an effective anti-constipation food. When buying celery, opt for organically grown produce whenever possible — together with bell peppers celery tops the list of vegetables that contain the highest levels of contaminants, including neurotoxic pesticides and the potentially carcinogenic substance chlorothalonil.

#13:  Cultured Natural Yoghurt

Cultured natural yoghurt typically contains Lactobacillus acidophilus and/or Bifidobacterium bifidum (or L. acidophilus and bifidum, for short). These probiotic bacteria live in the gastrointestinal tract where they aid digestion and fight the overgrowth of harmful bacteria. Naturopaths often recommend probiotic yoghurt to people with constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-C), a common digestive syndrome characterized by constipation as well as bloating and abdominal pain and cramping. One study conducted in the UK found that women with IBS-C could reduce the distention of the stomach by up to 78% and significantly improve gastrointestinal transit time by just eating probiotic yoghurt.

Law of Attraction – 3 principles to manifest ….

3 Principles to Using the Law of Attraction

Principle #1: Get really clear with what you actually want

If I were to ask you what you want in life, what would you say?

For a lot of people, it's "Arghhh anything but this!" It's much easier to know what we don't want. Because of that, it's what we tend to constantly think about.

We don't like being stuck in traffic, we don't like disappointment, and we don't like mountains of debt.

The problem is that whatever you focus on tends to expand. Any time you think strongly about something you hate, you put energy into whatever you're thinking about and attract more of the same.

Instead, switch it around to thinking about what you DO want. Maybe it's a 30-hour work week or the ability to spend more time with your loved ones.

If it's difficult to think about what you want, I have an exercise for you. Take a piece of paper and split it into three columns. In the first, write what you don't want. In the second, write the opposite of that, which is what you do want. In the third column, write briefly why you want it. This will help you get clear on your goals and motivate you to focus on them.

Principle #2: Feel good and visualize what you want, making sure to feel the emotions flooding through you

To use the Law of Attraction to your advantage, you're going have to make some changes in how you think. You need to feel happy and confident, both about your goals coming true, and about life in general.

This is the part where a lot of people have trouble. You see, unless you can actually feel the emotions of having already achieved what it is you want, you won't get the best benefits from using the Law of Attraction.

Each day you should close your eyes and when focusing on your goals see in your mind's eye that it has already come true. Also make sure you FEEL the emotions of already having everything in existence right now. Basically, you should fully visualize yourself already living your dream life and experience those emotions of gratitude, accomplishment, joy and peace.

Once you have nurtured this mindset, it's typical to start having those things start physically appearing in your life, one way or another.

A great tool to help you stay focused is to create a list of positive affirmations in the present tense that represent what you want, such as "Every month I pay my bills with plenty left over," or "I am so happy I can't stop smiling".

When you're visualizing, repeat this affirmations to yourself, almost like a personal mantra, to get yourself pumped up and really feeling the emotion. Get excited because you're starting to learn how great things will be when you have your goals.

When I tell this to students and friends, I often hear, "Natalie, how in the world am I supposed to find the time to think happy thoughts and focus on goals? I barely get through the day as it is!"

My answer to that is, "Well tell me… how much time do you set aside every day to think about problems and worry about silly things that will probably never happen?"

The truth is that there are actually two types of time, internal time and external time, and they don't always line up.

Right now, you probably have dozens of thoughts a minute you're conscious of, and thousands of thoughts you're unconscious of. If you simply use your downtime to think positively, whether you're waiting in line, working out, or driving, you'll be amazed at how much the world will open up for you.

Principle #3: Take action when appropriate

One of the hang-ups that a lot of people have with the Law of Attraction is the idea that good things can come to you without hard work.

Don't get me wrong; you can still work hard if you want to. However, the more you follow the principles I've outlined so far, the less struggle you have to go through when taking action.

You see, no matter what path you're on, there's probably an easier way you haven't thought of yet. Using the Law of Attraction is the surest way to cut down the effort needed for success.

But, the truth is, you do need to take some action if you want to give the Universe the best opportunities to provide you with what you want, but the most important point to remember is that you don't need to see the whole plan.

To take action, you just need to take a single step in the direction of your goal. Just keep focusing on the next step, that's all you need to do as far as action!

So, when you see something in front of you that seems applicable to your goals in life, don't hesitate for a single second. Take whatever action step you see and just watch what happens.

You'll see that once you've finished each step, a new one on the invisible staircase will become apparent to you. As you start gaining momentum, the entire staircase begins to reveal itself, often showing you so much more than you ever expected or dreamed at the top.

If you follow the three principles I've outlined, you'll begin to start seeing incredible opportunity everywhere you look….

…Someone you meet at a party might pass you a business card and reveal she's an insider in an industry you've wanted to open a business in.

…You might take a wrong turn and find yourself in front of a hidden mall with incredible deals that shave tons of savings off your monthly bills.

In my experience, if you're prepared to take action, but open to the idea that it could be easy, things tend to just fall into place so you slide through life a lot more smoothly.

Happy Manifesting!!
