Learn Typing and put into use

Points to remember

1. Get rid of bad typing habits (typing with 1 or 2 fingers / searching the keys and typing)

2.Use all 10 fingers in typing

In the picture below, notice color-coded areas showing the keys covered by each finger. The middle fingers and ring fingers are used for only a few keys on the keyboard, while your index fingers cover the middle section of the keyboard. Navigational, punctuation and function keys are controlled mostly by the little finger.

Use your forefinger (index finger) to move the mouse. Use your thumb to click the left-right buttons on the bottom of the mouse pad.

3. Index fingers should rest on the (bumps) F and J keys and the other fingers will fall into place naturally.
4. Learn touch typing - Typing without looking at the keyboard.
Practice here TypingClub or Typing Web
Practice with apps TypeRacer or Touch Typing Study or Learn Typing

5. Use basic Keyboard shortcuts.

While using "Word Processing"

While browsing the web in

web browsers.
